TriMega’s Propel 2012 an Enormous Success

TriMega is pleased to announce it recently wrapped up another very successful National Convention, Propel 2012 (www.trimega.org/propel), which took place at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida October 10 -12. The event drew attendance of nearly 1,000 people, and featured a full array of elements including an enlightening keynote address, all-new interactive knowledge and networking sessions and a lively tradeshow floor which included the latest products and services from over 120 office products suppliers, wholesalers and business partners.

with peers. Where BIG Happens and we’re confident that it will deliver on that in 2013," he concluded.

Exhibitors were overwhelmingly pleased about their experience at the event. "With Propel 2012, TriMega again hosted a top-notch industry event," said David Concors of Supplies Network. "Propel 2012 put the focus on forward thinking and moving forward, and the show delivered on that for us. Dealers were engaged, hungry for new opportunities and very receptive to new programs and products that could help advance their business and grow," he commented.

TriMega members also reflected on the Orlando event, "It’s easy to think you are too busy to spend time away from your business," remarked Cindy White of McShanes. "But the TriMega convention is an incredible way to revitalize yourself, network with other dealers and focus on growing your business. I came back from Propel 2012 excited and ready to put all what I have learned into action," she concluded.

In the Opening Session on Thursday October 11, TriMega executives Charlie Cleary, Greg Fish, Michael Morris and Tom VanHootegem shared TriMega accomplishments, updates and delivered dealer awards. Other event highlights included:

 A high energy and highly relevant keynote address by author, thought leader and speaker, Peter Sheahan. Peter took a look at the many changes being experienced in the Office Products industry, and suggested a road map for not only responding to them but profiting from them.

 A new approach to the traditional seminar format – enhanced with four new tracks: Learning Labs, Idea Circles, Power Panels and TriMega Tools. Each of these new education formats features tremendous opportunities to learn from subjest experts, exchange ideas and best practices, hear tangible tips first-hand from fellow successful dealers and engage in spirited and productive discussions with peers.

 A one-day tradeshow in which Propel 2012 exhibitors wrote nearly $2M in show orders during the day.

 The tradeshow was followed by a prize reception where thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes were awarded, capped off with a HON sponsored 2013 Ford Mustang warded to winner, Jeff Proske of Schulenberg Printing & Office Supplies in Schulenberg, Texas. A high octane "NASCAR Nite" Party sponsored by the Exclusive Premier Sponsor, United Stationers.

Michael Morris, Vice President of Marketing for TriMega commented, "We were thrilled with Propel 2012. The feedback received on-site and post event from attendees, and some early survey data beginning come in, all things point to an event that provided exceptional networking opportunities, energized our members and suppliers, and continually underscored the value of forward thinking – and moving forward," he remarked. "What’s even more exciting is the response we got to our announcement of EPIC 2013 – the joint Independent Stationers and TriMega Convention next September. Members and exhibitors were overwhelmingly positive about this development and very excited about the prospect of a combined event. EPIC 2013 theme is Where BIG Happens and we're confident that it will deliver on that in 2013," he concluded.
