TriMega’s Recent Triumph Sales Training Program a Huge Success
TriMega Purchasing Association, the leading dealer group for independent office product dealers, is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 5th edition of its sales training series, Triumph. The Triumph program was focused on sales training and consisted of ten separate weekly webinars ranging from cold calling to margin management. Triumph includes professional sales instruction, testing and sales rep accountability for not only attendance, but follow through on course material. The program began this June and finished with its final session late August.
“In speaking with our members, we knew there was a continuing need for effective sales training for their new and existing sales reps. We anticipated about 50 sign-ups for this fifth iteration of the program,” stated Grady Taylor, Executive Vice President of Member Development for TriMega. “So, we were pleasantly surprised though by the time the enrollment was closed to we had 110 participants,” he commented.
Triumph instructors were Troy Harrison with SalesForce Solutions; Tom Buxton with Interbiz Group Ltd.; and Phil Barnette – Director of Dealer Training for United Stationers. Participants paid a reduced course fee of $165 thanks to sponsorship from United Stationers. Upon successful completion of the training course, participating dealer sales representatives received an award in recognition of their graduation from the Triumph Sales Training Program.
Positive feedback on has come from many participants such as Triumph training “graduate” Danny Sickles with Matt Parrot/Storey Kenworthy, who described the courses as “excellent”. Brent Hoopingarner with Keeton’s Office & Art Supply stated, “We truly appreciated TriMega making this training available. It has provided valuable information and real, actionable ideas that my reps can put to work,” he commented. Brett Allen with TriMega member The Data House commented, “We had several people who took the course and they gave it high praise for the materials, quality of content, and the ability to apply the course concepts immediately to their sales efforts,” he commented.
Charlie Cleary, President of TriMega added, “We continue to strike a chord with our membership and will continue to grow and enhance the Triumph training program. With the channel growth area in non-traditional categories, a well-trained and professional sales force is necessary for continued success,” he concluded.
TriMega plans to continue the Triumph Sales Training Program for members for TriMega members into 2013.
